I'm Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Last night I had the priviledge of attending Ledigo PR's biggest event to date - a meet & greet with the one and only, Scott Disick! The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' star came to the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on the 2nd of March as part of his week-long UK tour.

Upon arrival, I was directed to the mezzanine-level bar, where fans of all ages eagerly awaited the arrival of the Lord. This was, after all, the only event of his tour that allowed under-18s.

Inside the conference room, Dominic Halpin & the Honey Bs entertained the crowd while everyone took their seats (and while the blogger girls took group pictures).

Towards the back of the room we could find various stylish stalls, including The Pashmina LadiesStella & DotByas, and Sexy Smalls.

In true Ledigo PR style, the event was complete with a table full of sweets, Scott Disick-themed cupcakes and VIP goody bags.

Celebrity guests included Coronation Street stars Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach and Magali from The Real Housewives of Cheshire. Key 103 radio DJ Chelsea Norris was also present and ran the Q&A sessions with both Magali and Scott.

Magali Interview

I was positively surprised by Magali. She was absolutely lovely to everyone there on the night, shared interesting stories during the Q&A session, and even found time to take pictures with the audience.

After a 1-and-a-half hour wait, Stephanie announced that the Lord was finally in the building. Scott sat down for a quick Q&A with Chelsea Norris, where he shared his initial thoughts on the UK and admitted he was slightly sleep deprived from his first few tour days. "I didn't realize how far things are in the UK, in New York it's like 15 minutes between each block, here it's like 10 or 15 hours between places," he told the audience.

Constantly escorted by massive bodyguards (above), Scott proceeded to the photo area, while restless VIP guests queued up for their snap next to the Lord.

Scott turned out to be a man of few words. All I got from him was a shy "hi" and "sure, any time" in a thick American accent, after I thanked him for the picture. I have to admit that although the event itself was flawless, I was slightly disappointed with Scott Disick as a person. Compared to the lets-get-wasted-and-punch-a-wall party animal that he is on the TV show, real-life Scott just seemed so... lifeless. But again, it might just be the sleep deprivation.

Scott's stay in Manchester ended with a night out at one of Manchester's favourite student nightclub - Tiger Tiger in the Printworks, which again turned out to be less interesting than expected, with Scott nowhere to be seen on the night.
